Evaluate the Complete Blood Picture and Some Biochemical Parameters in Patients referred to the dialysis unit in Diyala General Hospital

Research done on 40 patients; 24 males, 20-79 years, and 16 females, 42-67 years; referred to dialysis unit, Baqubah hospital, in November December, 2021; January February 2022. Creatinine, Urea Iron, record high levels. Glucose, calcium, sodium, potassium, phosphate, were within normal, low levels of albumin. Means Total Erythrocyte Counts (TECs), hemoglobin (Hb), Hematocrit% (HCT), Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), showed lowered level. While, Cell Volume (MCV), (MCH), Red Blood Distribution Width- Standard Deviation (RDW-SD), Coefficient Variation (RDW-CV), normal. Leucocyte (TLCs), Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Eosinophil, Basophils, Platelet related parameter Within ranges some values higher than normal as, Neutrophils%, Eosinophil%, Platelets (MPV). While other lower as (TRCs), (HCT %), Lymphocytes%, platelets, Width (PDW), Platelet- Large Ratio (P-LCR). But glucose, high, low. At the same time Monocytes%, Basophils% was range. In conclusion creatinine urea have an important role diagnosis follow- up kidney failure. All patients urea, iron creatinine. not all level potassium glucose. Sodium albumin, decreased picture revealed microcytic, hypochromic anemia; (MCHC) (RDW-SD) values.
